The LCCA responds to BERR/Ofgem proposals

The London Climate Change Agency will install new wind turbines at Palestra following the recall of the original wind turbines. The LCCA will trial the new Swift II wind turbine and one other turbine prior to the full installation subject to the results of the trial.

The Mayor of London launched a groundbreaking programme to help large business organisations cut climate change emissions by three million tonnes by 2010, saving £300 million in energy bills. The Better Buildings Partnership, developed by the London Climate Change Agency, and the Green500 represent the most comprehensive range of climate change services for businesses of any city in the world.

The London Climate Change Agency – part of the London Development Agency – will work with London Remade to identify waste projects across London and help to develop the infrastructure to produce renewable fuels which can be used to supply buildings and transport.

The Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone today launched the UK's first 'green homes' service to help Londoners cut climate change emissions by offering an easy, one-stop-shop for information on how to make homes more carbon efficient. The Deputy Mayor said the idea for the concierge service came from Toronto, and was initiated when Toronto delegates came to London to work on the scheme together with the LCCA and ran a successful pilot scheme in Lewisham before rolling out the scheme across the capital.
